In the harsh environment of chemical production, Beck components demonstrate their superior corrosion resistance.
Customized solutions for your industry.
Beck develops special ventilation components for chemically contaminated process air in the most demanding industries: chemical industry, laboratories, biotech, pharmaceuticals, universities, semiconductor industry and electroplating. What these sectors have in common: They require solutions that outperform conventional systems in terms of corrosion resistance, durability and energy efficiency - which is precisely where our core expertise has been for more than six decades.
Areas of application
Other applications
Battery and rechargeable battery production
Lithium-ion manufacturing and electrolyte production generate highly corrosive vapors from solvents and electrolyte decomposition products. Beck components offer the highest chemical resistance to EC, DMC, and LiPF₆ decomposition products, while their metal-ion-free surfaces ensure the purity of lithium and electrode processes. Flow-optimized molded parts efficiently handle the extremely high exhaust air flow rates in drying rooms, and ATEX-compliant PPs-el variants prevent electrostatic charging in areas containing solvents. Their resistance to condensation and temperature makes our systems ideal for dryer exhaust air, coating systems, and electrolyte mixing rooms.
Wastewater Treatment Technology and Neutralization Systems
Industrial wastewater neutralization plants generate corrosive exhaust air from acid/alkali treatment involving HCl, H₂SO₄, NaOH, and other aggressive media. Beck components remain resistant to this corrosive neutralization exhaust air and show no corrosion in humid, condensing atmospheres—a clear advantage over metal piping systems. Flow-optimized elbows reduce pressure surges, which are typical in neutralization reactions, while the high protection class against aggressive sulfur compounds (H₂S, mercaptans) provides reliable protection even in wastewater treatment plants and municipal wastewater systems. Easy cleaning and maintenance make Beck systems particularly suitable for chemical wastewater lines.
Recycling and plastic processing plants
Plastic processing and regranulation generate organic vapors and solvents, to which Beck components remain permanently resistant. Conductive PPs-el versions prevent static buildup in areas with dust-solvent mixtures and meet ATEX requirements. High abrasion resistance and flow-optimized geometries prevent particle buildup, while low inherent emissions ensure that even high-purity recyclates (e.g., PET, PE, PP) remain uncontaminated. The wide variety of molded parts enables flexible solutions for complex, often cramped plant layouts in recycling facilities.
Printing industry, paint shops, and coating technology
Paint shops, printing facilities, and coating plants generate VOCs, solvents, and paint fumes such as acetone or ethyl acetate, to which Beck components demonstrate excellent resistance. The conductive PPs-el version prevents ignition sparks in solvent-laden atmospheres—a critical factor for explosion protection in ATEX zones. Low pressure drops improve the efficiency of exhaust air filters, activated carbon adsorbers, and regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs), while the easy installation of ceiling panels and hoods makes them ideal for retrofitting in older buildings. No corrosion from solvent condensates ensures long-term operational reliability.
Research centers and institute buildings
Research institutions such as Fraunhofer Institutes, Helmholtz Centers, and Max Planck Institutes require extremely flexible and adaptable ventilation systems for changing experimental setups and prototype facilities. Beck components offer high material purity without metal ions or corrosion—perfect for materials research, surface analysis, and highly sensitive experiments. The wide range of diameters accommodates both large technical centers and small specialized laboratories, while the low particle emission—thanks to seamless, smooth-walled molded parts—is crucial for cleanroom prototyping. Reliability in continuous operation is critical, as research facilities often must run 24/7 under defined conditions.
