The Beck bird and insect screen is designed to fully perform its protective function without impairing the flow characteristics of your ventilation system. The bird protection attachments for roof hoods in particular have been proven to work without any measurable pressure loss. This is crucial for the energy efficiency of the entire system, as additional resistance would unnecessarily increase the energy consumption of the fans. A free cross-section of at least 58% is guaranteed for the ducts with bird protection grille, which also contributes to low flow resistance. This feature ensures that your system operates optimally and cost-effectively even with the protection system installed, without having to compromise on air performance.

Our protective grille elements are made of high-quality stainless steel, which has excellent corrosion resistance to environmental influences and chemically contaminated process air. This guarantees an exceptionally long product service life, even in aggressive industrial environments. The plastic components that hold the stainless steel grilles or serve as part of the molded parts are also made of chemically resistant thermoplastics such as PVC, PPs, PP, PE, PPs-el and PVDF, depending on the material requirements of the respective ventilation system. This combination of resistant metals and plastics ensures that Beck's bird and insect screens retain their full function even under the most demanding conditions, thereby extending maintenance intervals and increasing operational reliability.

The Beck bird and insect screen offers reliable protection against unwanted animals and dirt entering the ventilation ducts and systems. The targeted use of stainless steel wires and a mesh size of 10x10 mm in the plastic prevents birds or larger insects from damaging or clogging the system. At the same time, the design is so open-pored that the unhindered discharge of process air is guaranteed at all times, even under difficult conditions such as wind or rain. Attaching the protection to outlet pieces or roof hoods enables a free, upward vertical outlet, which ensures a considerable minimization of pressure loss and does not jeopardize the function of the exhaust air system.
