The Beck roof hoods, in particular the innovative Beck-REDIFF, are characterized by their flow-optimized design, which drastically reduces pressure loss. Thanks to its computer-aided optimized geometry, the Beck-REDIFF achieves a lower pressure loss compared to conventional deflector hoods. This leads to considerable energy savings for the fans and reduces the operating costs of the entire system. Thanks to the extremely low pressure loss, the Beck-REDIFF also has almost the same discharge velocity of 10 m/s at a flow velocity of 10 m/s. The streamlined design with seamless, machine-formed components avoids edges and turbulence, which means that at an airflow of 10 m/s, the pressure loss with the Beck-REDIFF is only around 55 Pa, compared to 194 Pa with a conventional deflector hood.

Beck roof hoods are high-quality ventilation components for the vertical removal of chemically contaminated process air via the roof. Our product portfolio comprises three main types: The innovative Beck-REDIFF with flow-optimized rain deflector diffuser, the compact Beck-DSB forced-air hood and the classic Beck deflector hood. All models are characterized by their rainproof design with internal collection funnel and eaves water pipe and are available in various thermoplastic materials: PVC, PVC-UV (UV-stabilized), PVC-C (CORZAN), PP, PPs, PE, PP-el-s and PVDF. The roof hoods are available with socket or flange connections in diameters from DN 110 to DN 1400 and can optionally be fitted with a pressure-loss-free stainless steel bird screen.
The sophisticated design of Beck roof hoods ensures excellent rain protection and reliably prevents water from entering the ventilation system. All models have an internal collection funnel with an eaves water pipe that safely drains rainwater to the outside. Particularly noteworthy is the Beck-REDIFF, in which the special design prevents some of the exhaust air from being blown downwards through the eaves water drainage pipe. Installation must always be vertical, regardless of the roof pitch, to ensure optimum rainwater drainage. The PVC-UV-stabilized deflector hood DSB in white also offers high stability against UV radiation and is ideally suited for combination with commercially available steel spiral ducts. The version with bypass (Beck-REDIFF-BY) enables an admixture of 20% secondary air from outside if there is an increased concentration of pollutants in the exhaust air, which improves the dilution of aggressive exhaust air. Eight special materials from -20°C to 120°C
Our roof hoods are made from high-quality thermoplastic materials that offer exceptional resistance to aggressive and corrosive media. Various materials are available depending on the area of application and chemical load: PVC for general applications up to 50°C, PVC-UV-stabilized for highly sun-exposed locations, PP for good chemical resistance up to 80°C, PPs for flame-retardant applications, PE for lower temperatures down to -20°C, PP-el-s for electrostatic dissipative properties and PVDF for the highest chemical and thermal requirements up to 120°C. This variety of materials makes our Beck roof hoods the ideal choice for the safe discharge of aggressive process air in chemical laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, electroplating plants and other demanding environments. The optional bird protection attachment made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel has been proven to work without measurable pressure loss and effectively prevents birds from flying in.
