The dampers from Beck are precision-manufactured components for regulating and shutting off air flows in ventilation systems for chemically contaminated process air. These versatile elements are available in different versions: adjustable in 15° steps or infinitely variable, with manual operation or prepared for electric and pneumatic actuators. The dampers are made from high-quality thermoplastic materials and are available in diameters from 50 mm to >1000 mm - injection-molded up to 315 mm and seamlessly machined from 355 mm - up to 630 mm, as well as manually manufactured conventionally. They are available with socket or flange connections and impress with their robust design with wall thicknesses in accordance with the specifications of the relevant DIN standards for the respective base materials.

The damper is specially designed for demanding ventilation and exhaust air systems where precision, durability and operational reliability have top priority. Depending on the application, the housing is made of a chemically resistant plastic that retains its dimensional stability even under high mechanical loads and in aggressive media environments. The precisely manufactured damper blades ensure exact air flow regulation with minimal flow noise. In the tight-closing version, the damper blade is sealed against the housing stop by a special, chemically resistant PP-based elastomer material that can withstand even aggressive media. For ring rigidity, this design is only manufactured in the flange version and meets the requirements of DIN EN 1751 Part 4. The careful coordination of all components ensures a uniform throttling effect over the entire control range and thus contributes to the overall efficiency of the system.

From simple manual operation to fully automated control - our dampers adapt to your specific requirements. The manual version with 15° graduation allows for quick adjustment, while the stepless versions with scale ring and locking screw enable precise fine tuning. An additional third O-ring is used to seal the shaft in stepless versions, which allows the tightness to be readjusted when installed - a considerable maintenance advantage. For larger diameters from 450 mm, the manual throttle valves are equipped with a two-handed handle for safe adjustment. The standardized motor consoles are compatible with all commercially available pneumatic and electric actuators, although special consoles are possible at any time. This versatility makes Beck dampers the ideal solution for almost any ventilation technology application.

The use of high-quality thermoplastic materials ensures exceptional resistance to aggressive and corrosive media. Various materials are available depending on the requirements: PVC (up to 50°C) for general applications, PVC-UV for UV-exposed areas, PP (up to 80°C) for elevated temperatures, PE (down to -20°C) for lower temperatures, PPs for flame-retardant designs, PPs-el for electrostatic dissipative properties and PVDF for the highest chemical requirements (up to 120°C). The damper shaft is guided condensate-tight through a triple, adjustable O-ring seal in the damper housing and held in the counter bearing, which guarantees maximum operational reliability. The removable control knob is fixed in the desired position with a high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel screw. This sophisticated design makes Beck dampers the safe choice for the most demanding environments in the chemical industry, laboratories and pharmaceutical plants.
